Fire Fighter • Sth year <br />Lieutenant - <br />Captain - <br />$56,832.57 Annually <br />$64,224.81 Annually <br />$70,964.00 Annually <br />$2,185.87 Bi-weekly <br />$2,470.03 Bi-week(y <br />$2,729.38 Bi-weekly <br />17.3 Fire Prevention Premium - Alt Fire Prsvention Officers/Inspectors shall receive $1,200.00 <br />per year plus Longevity if applicable. Said payment shall be paid bi-weekly in the Bmployee's <br />regular payroll check for performance of said duty. <br />17.4 Acting In The Capacity of A Higher Rank - Any Fire Fighters or Officers assigned to act in the <br />capacity of a superior Officer shall receive an additional one-half (1/2) hour of overtime pay for <br />each eight (8) hours he is required to act out of rank. <br />17.5 Weekend Bonus - Employees scheduied to work on Saturdays or Sundays shall receive an <br />additional two and one quarter (2 1/4) hours pay at the Basic Hourly Rate of Pay for Line <br />Personnel plus Longevity. <br />ARTiCLE XVIII <br />PARA,MEDIC PAY <br />18.1 In the contract years 2004 and 2005, Employees that are certified by the State of Ohio as a <br />paramedic shall be paid a bonus of $1,300.00 on or before the 15Ih of December, each year. <br />Effective in the year 2406, Employees that are certified by the State of Ohio as a paramedic shail <br />be paid a bonus of $1,400.00 on or before the 15`h of December, each year. <br />It shall be calculated on a prorated basis for those who, during the year, retire, and for those <br />individvals hired before December 31, 1995, that lose their certification for whatever reason. To <br />be eligible for fuU payment, an Employee shall be required to be certified for the period between <br />December 15 and December 14, each year of this Agreement. <br />18.2 Employees shall be permitted to drop therr paramedic certificarion aRer 15 years of continuous <br />service in ordex of seniority down. Employees that drop their Paramedic certification must <br />maintain their EMT certification. Employees shall be permitted to dtop their paramedic <br />certification providing the total number of remaining paramedics does not fall below thirty-three <br />32
