CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004 -11 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />AN ORDINANCE DISPENSING WITH THE RFP PROCED URES <br />OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY SECTIONS 111.03 ET SEQ. OF THE <br />CITY'S CODIFIED ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO EN?'ER INTO A RENEWAL <br />AGREEMENT WITH TAC COMPUTER, INC, PROVIDING FOR <br />MAINTENANCE SER i1ICE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S <br />COMPUTERS AND SOFTWARE PROGRAMS; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City provide maintenance service to the various <br />computers and software programs used and operated by the North Olmsted Police Department; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, on March 4, 2003, adopted Resolution No. 2003-16, <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one-year maintenance agreement with TAC Computer, Inc., <br />to provide the services required by the Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended that the City renew its maintenance <br />service agreement with TAC Computer, Inc. for an additional year; and <br />WHEREAS, it is not necessary to competitively bid the award of the City's contract for <br />said maintenance service because the expenditures pursuant to the proposed contract will not <br />exceed $25,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, because of the City's continuing relationship with TAC Computer, Inc. and <br />the specialized nature of the software programs involved for which maintenance is required, <br />compliance with the City's RFP procedures would not be practical and therefore should be <br />dispensed with in accordance with Section 111.01(A)(1) and (3) of the City's Codified <br />Ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into a one-year maintenance service renewal agreement with TAC Computer, Inc; <br />
