CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2004 -11 BY: Mayor Musial AN ORDINANCE DISPENSING WITH THE RFP PROCED URES OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY SECTIONS 111.03 ET SEQ. OF THE CITY'S CODIFIED ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO EN?'ER INTO A RENEWAL AGREEMENT WITH TAC COMPUTER, INC, PROVIDING FOR MAINTENANCE SER i1ICE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S COMPUTERS AND SOFTWARE PROGRAMS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City provide maintenance service to the various computers and software programs used and operated by the North Olmsted Police Department; and WHEREAS, this Council, on March 4, 2003, adopted Resolution No. 2003-16, authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one-year maintenance agreement with TAC Computer, Inc., to provide the services required by the Police Department; and WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended that the City renew its maintenance service agreement with TAC Computer, Inc. for an additional year; and WHEREAS, it is not necessary to competitively bid the award of the City's contract for said maintenance service because the expenditures pursuant to the proposed contract will not exceed $25,000.00; and WHEREAS, because of the City's continuing relationship with TAC Computer, Inc. and the specialized nature of the software programs involved for which maintenance is required, compliance with the City's RFP procedures would not be practical and therefore should be dispensed with in accordance with Section 111.01(A)(1) and (3) of the City's Codified Ordinances; and WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a one-year maintenance service renewal agreement with TAC Computer, Inc;
