CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 19 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A FY2004 COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG') FROM CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY PROVIDIIVG FUNDING FOR THE CITY'S 2004 <br />EXTERIOR MAINTENANCE PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTYSETTING FORTH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF <br />THE GRANT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on October 21, 2003, this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2003-131, <br />authorizing and directing the Director of Human Resources to prepare, and authorizing the <br />Mayor to sign, an application on behalf of the City for Community Development Block Grant <br />("CDBG") funding for The City's 2004 Exterior Maintenance Program designed to assist low <br />to moderate income families in maintaining the exterior of their residences in the City of North <br />Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, on or about February 3, 2004, the Cuyahoga County Department of <br />Development announced that an award in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) <br />had been made to the City of North Olmsted for funding for the City's 2004 Exterior <br />Maintenance Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to accept the said grant awarded to the City <br />of North Olmsted by Cuyahoga County and authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with <br />Cuyahoga County providing for the terms and conditions of the grant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted accepts the FY2004 Community <br />Development Block Grant ("CDBG") in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) <br />for the City's 2004 Exterior Maintenance Program, and authorizes the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with Cuyahoga County providing for the terms and conditions of the said grant. Said <br />contract shall be in the form of the Contract for 2004 Exterior Maintenance Program attached <br />to this Resolution as "Exhibit A," with only such changes therein as are not substantially <br />adverse to the City and which are approved by both the Mayor and the Director of Law. The <br />character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced <br />conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the <br />agreement by the Director of Law. <br />
