CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 19 BY: Mayor Musial A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A FY2004 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG') FROM CUYAHOGA COUNTY PROVIDIIVG FUNDING FOR THE CITY'S 2004 EXTERIOR MAINTENANCE PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CUYAHOGA COUNTYSETTING FORTH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE GRANT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, on October 21, 2003, this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2003-131, authorizing and directing the Director of Human Resources to prepare, and authorizing the Mayor to sign, an application on behalf of the City for Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funding for The City's 2004 Exterior Maintenance Program designed to assist low to moderate income families in maintaining the exterior of their residences in the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, on or about February 3, 2004, the Cuyahoga County Department of Development announced that an award in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) had been made to the City of North Olmsted for funding for the City's 2004 Exterior Maintenance Program; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to accept the said grant awarded to the City of North Olmsted by Cuyahoga County and authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cuyahoga County providing for the terms and conditions of the grant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted accepts the FY2004 Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) for the City's 2004 Exterior Maintenance Program, and authorizes the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cuyahoga County providing for the terms and conditions of the said grant. Said contract shall be in the form of the Contract for 2004 Exterior Maintenance Program attached to this Resolution as "Exhibit A," with only such changes therein as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by both the Mayor and the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the Director of Law.
