ACCEPTANCE <br />For purposes of this Agreement, the term "Acceptance" shall be defined as follows <br />with respect to each of the categories listed. In each and every case, the acceptance <br />document must have the signature of the CITY's Mayor or his designee (CITY's <br />Project Manager): <br />Each server, workstation and peripheral should be tested for correct functioning. <br />Standard tests should be performed to indicate optimum performance of each <br />computer system. Using the office productivity tools, each workstation and its <br />peripherals (modems and printers) should permit printing, and both sending and <br />receiving email and fax. Each POS station and its peripherals (scanners and printers) <br />should permit data entry and receipt printing. In addition, both tape units .should be <br />tested for accurate backup and restore. <br />Performance tasks and acceptance tests by software application module will include: <br />Log for anomalies during the training and acceptance period -- Report on error <br />messages, reporting failures, failures of functions such as menus, variance from RFP, <br />interfaces, data conversions, link from application to spreadsheet, universal customer <br />and so on. CITY will log anomalies during the training and acceptance period to <br />include but not limited to error messages, reporting failures, failures of hardware <br />functions. VENDOR will setup and maintain a training/testing application database. <br />(what is this ?) <br />l.Hardware, Peripherals and Operating System Software Acceptance <br />will be conferred based upon the successful completion to CITY's satisfaction of <br />an operation which consists of the generation and enhancement of one word <br />processing document by the staff of CITY, which document successfully runs on <br />all printers, terminals, and personal computers which is part of the system <br />purchased by CITY from VENDOR, and which can be both backed up and <br />restored on each tape drive. Said document must be successfully sent and <br />received by email and fax or fax-modem. Purchased components and those that <br />are connected to the CPU or LAN shall be accepted when the following tests, as <br />they may be applicable to each, are successfully completed to CITY's <br />satisfaction: <br />a. A word processing document can be created on one workstation, changed <br />on said workstation and on every other workstation and printed on every <br />printer that is either connected to the CPU or LAN. Personal computers with <br />slave printers must prove to be operational by printing a word processing <br />document on the individual slave printer, in addition to functioning as a <br />workstation.
