CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2004-04 BY: Council Member Gareau AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 92-1 Sl, IN ORDER TO ABOLISH THE DIVISION OF ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING AND THE POSITIONS OF COMMISSIONER AND NETWORK SPECIALIST WITHIN SAID DIVISION; ESTABLISHING A NEW DIVISION WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF PE,RSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ENTITLED THE DIVISION OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS, AND CREATING WITHIN SAID NEW DIVISION A NEW POSITION ENTITLED "NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR"; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, this Council finds that the electronic data processing needs of the City would be better served, and a cost savings achieved, by abolishing the Division of Electronic Data Processing, and the positions of Commissioner and Network Specialist within said Division, and creating a new Division of Information Systems within the Department of Personnel and Administrative Services, and a new position within said new Division entitled "Network Administrator"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 92-151, which created Chapter 175 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Division of Electronic Data Processing," be and hereby is repealed in its entirety, thereby abolishing the said division and the positions of Commissioner and Network Specialist within said division. SECTION 2: That there be, and hereby is, created new Section 167.05 of Chapter 167 of the Administrative Code of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Department of Personnel and Administrative Services," which, as created, shall read in its entirety as follows: "167.05 DIVISION OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS; NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR. (a) There is hereby created a Division of Information Systems within the Department of Personnel and Administrative Services.
