<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004 - 66 <br />BY: Council Member Gareau <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1161.05 OF THE CITY'S <br />ZONING CODE IN ORDER TO ADJUST MINIMUM PARKING <br />STANDARDS FOR LARGE UNIT COMMERCIAL <br />DEVELOPMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, Section 1161.05(w) of the Zoning Code presently requires 6.5 per <br />1,000 square feet of floor area for large unit development business parking lots; <br />WHEREAS, the City Planner has examined the parking standards for such <br />developments, including a detailed analysis of industry standards and parking surveys, <br />and has recommended an adjustment of Section 1161.05(w) to provide a minimum <br />requirement of 5.0 parking spaces per 1,000 square feet of floor area and a maximum of <br />6.0 parking spaces per 1,000 square feet of floor area; and <br />WHEREAS, based on the professional opinion of the City Planner, as well as the <br />Building Commissioner's concurrence in her recommendation, it is the desire of this <br />Council to amend the schedule set forth in Section 1161.05(w) accordingly; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on the ? day of <br />2004, by formal motion, recommended that this Ordinance, proposing to 4sam:Lend <br />Section 1161.05 of the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted be <br />(approved)(disapproved); and <br />WHEREAS, following publication of newspaper notice, a public hearing was <br />held in conformance with the provisions of Section 14 of icle IV of the Charter and <br />Section 1127.03 of the Zoning Code, on the ,?day of 2004; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 1161.05 of the Zoning Code of the City of North <br />Olmsted, which presently reads as follows: <br />1161.05 SCHEDULE OF REQUIRED PARKING SPACES. <br />Offstreet parking faciiities shall be provided in accordance with the following <br />schedule. Where the computation results in a fractional space, one additional offstreet <br />parking space shall be provided. <br />r
