CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 78 By: Mayor Musial A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO PURCHASE TWO (2) NEW 2.5 TON SINGLE AXLE DUMP TRUCKS, AND RELATED EQUIPMENT AND ATTACHMENTS, THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE PROGRAM; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, IF NECESSARY, TO EXECUTE PURCHASE AGREEMENTS AND RELATED DOCU11fENTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, it is necessary for the North Olmsted Service Department to purchase two (2) 2.5 ton single axle dump trucks with equipment and attachment pieces to replace aging vehicles within the City's fleet; and WHEREAS, the funds necessary for the purchase of this equipment have been addressed by the Service Department budget, approved by this Council through the appropriation process, and are available for this expenditure purpose; and WHEREAS, the contract or contracts for this expenditure are not legally required to be competitively bid, but may be required, in whole or in part, to receive the approval of the Board of Control; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service desires to purchase the following vehicles and equipment off the State Purchase List from the following vendors at the following prices: (a) two (2) 2.5 ton single axle dump trucks from International Truck and Engine Corp. in the total amount of One Hundred Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-One and 22/100 Dollars ($100,971.22); (b) two (2) steel beds in the amount of Fifty-Nine Thousand Sixteen and 64/100 Dollars ($59,016.64), two (2) calcium systems in the amount of Four Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty- Two and 54/100 Dollars ($4,722.54), two (2) plow hitches in the amount of Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-Two and 40/100 Dollars ($13,962.40), and one (1) "hot box" in the amount of Twenty-Four Thousand Five Hundred Sixty and 20/100 ($24,560.20) Dollars, all from Concord Road Equipment Manufacturing Company for installation and/or attachment to the said trucks purchased; and (c) one (1) computerized salt spreader from Gibson Manufacturing Company in the amount of Eight Thousand Six Hundred Sixty ($8,660.00) Dollars; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to so authorize the Director of Public Service, and to further authorize the Mayor, subject to the Board of Control, if necessary, to execute necessary purchase agreements and other documents; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO:
