Resolution No. 2004-78 <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />purchase through the State Purchasing Program, which was established by O.R.C. Section 125.04 <br />and which the City is authorized to participate in pursuant to Ordinance No. 87-6, two (2) 2.5 ton <br />single axle dump trucks from International Truck and Engine Corp. in the amount of One <br />Hundred Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-One and 22/100 Dollars ($100,971.22). <br />SECTION 2: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby further authorized <br />to purchase through the said State Purchasing Program: two (2) steel beds in the amount of Fifty- <br />Nine Thousand Sixteen and 64/100 Dollars ($59,016.64), two (2) calcium systems in the amount <br />of Four Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-Two and 54/100 Dollars ($4,722.54), two (2) plow <br />hitches in the amount of Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-Two and 40/100 Dollars <br />($13,962.40) and one (1) "hot box" in the amount of Twenty-Four Thousand Five Hundred Sixty <br />and 20/100 Dollars ($24,560.20), a11 from Concord Road Equipment Manufacturing Company. <br />SECTION 3: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby further authorized <br />to purchase through the said State Purchasing Program one (1) computerized salt spreader from <br />Gibson Manufacturing Company in the amount of Eight Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Dollars <br />($8,660.00). <br />SECTION 4: As necessary to effectuate the foregoing purchases through the State <br />Purchasing Program, the Mayor is hereby authorized, subject to approval of the Board of Control, <br />if necessary, to execute any contract and/or other appropriate documents required by the <br />authorized vendor(s) or the State of Ohio. Any such contract(s) executed by the Mayor shall be <br />in a form a.nd substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and approved by the <br />Director of Law. <br />SECTION 5: That the funds necessary for the aforesaid vehicle and equipment purchases <br />have been duly appropriated by this Council and are available for this expenditure purpose. <br />SEC1"ION 6: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further for <br />the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately so that Service <br />Department vehicles can be ordered immediately to insure availability, at quoted prices, during <br />order period and to insure prompt delivery; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of a11 members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />? <br />PASSED: <br />a <br />First Reading: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: j 1-e <br />Committee: ,6?-c.?,a ?> ? .?, ??_ ? <br />2 <br />• .. . - ... .-.. ,..? , ,.. ?:pE.r?hWHFvw "::.eawnin'YU"4kl?.?fiMN^.'Rm? ^z..?g,??.,«. . ?`z? x:-..-am;wus- . . . .
