<br />ltesolution No. 2002-209 <br />Page 2 <br />SECTION 1: That, subject to approval by the Board of Control, the Director of <br />Public Service be and she hereby is authorized to dispense with competitive bidding and to <br />purchase from Buckeye Power Sa1es Company, Inc., a new generator for the LeBern Lift <br />Station in an amount not to exceed $27,771.00, and further the Mayor, if necessary, is <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Buckeye Power Sa1es Company, Inc., for <br />said purchase and expenditure. A copy of the three-page quotation from Buckeye Power <br />Sales Company, Inc., for the purchase of the new generator is attached to this legislation <br />as Exhibit "A." <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declazed to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for <br />the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately so that <br />every effort can be made to replace the generator at the LeBern Lift Station before there <br />aze any power outages at the Lift Station, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of a11 members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: Qr cv 3 FirstReading; /,;L <br />Second Reading: f 7 0?_ <br />Third Readin?_. <br />Committee: <br />ATTEST: -? <br />; <br />?. <br />'Barbara L.
