<br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A NEW AND REVISED CITY SALARY RANGE ORDINANCE IN ORDER TO
<br />CLARIFY THAT CERTAIN NON-BARGAINiNG UNIT EMPLOYEES LISTED IN THE CiTY SALARY RANGE
<br />ORDINANCE MAY, SUBJECT TD THE APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF THE FEDERAL FAIR LABOR
<br />STANDARDS ACT, RECEIVE COMPENSATORY TIME OFF IN LIEU 4F PAiD OVERTiME COMPENSATION FOR
<br />THE CITY'S YARIOUS ADMINISTRATNE AND LEGISLATtVE PERSONNEL, AND OTHERWlSE RE-
<br />ESTABLISHING THE RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGISLATIVE
<br />PERSONNEI., AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to amend the City Salary Range ordinance so tnat it expressly s#ates that
<br />non-bargaining unit empioyees listed therein may, subject to the applicable provisions of the federal Fair Labor
<br />Standards Act ("FLSA"), receive compensatory time off in lieu of the overtime compensation to which they would
<br />otherwise by entitled to under FLSA law; and
<br />WHEREAS, the only section of the Salary Range Ordinance which must be amended to effect this clarification is
<br />Section 16; and
<br />WHEREAS, other than the foregoing change referenced, it is the +ntent of this Council to re-adopt a#I of the other
<br />substantive provisions of the latest adopted version of the City Salary Range Ordinance, to-wit Ordinance No. 2002-
<br />110;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAlNED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF
<br />CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO.
