CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 122 BY: MAYOR NORMAN T. MUSIAL A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, T4 FILE A PERMIT APPLICATION WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (ODOT) FOR AUTHORIZATION TO INSTALL A CURB CUT, LOCATED AT STATE ROUTE 252, JUST SOUTH OF THE INTERSTATE-480 EAST BOUND, AND IlV CONJUNCTION WITH GREATER CLEVELAND REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY'S (GCRTA) PARK-N-RIDE FACILITY AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A PUBLIC ROADWAY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has recernly acquired two parcels of real property (Permanent Parcel Nos. 236-11-017 and 236-12-004) located on or near State Route 252, just south of the Interstate 480 eastbound traffic entrance ramp, for the purposes of constructing thereupon a public roadway and for the further purpose of constructing a Park-N-Ride facility to be operated by NOMBL and GCRTA; and WHEREAS, the GCRTA has already contracted for and commenced construction of the Park-N-Ride facility, including the initiation of the public roadway portion of the project and, as it is anticipated that NOMBL will relocate its services before November, 2002, the timing of the construction schedule is of the essence; and WHEREAS, the Ohio Department of Transportation has, in response to GCRTA's application for a curb cut at the aforesaid intersection, noted the property interest of the City and requested its active participation in the permit process, notwithstanding the City's several Agreements with the GCRTA regarding the use, operation, maintenance and cost reimbursement for the Park-N-Ride facility and including the public roadway; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to comply with the administrative requirements imposed by ODOT in order to maintain the construction schedule for the Park-N-Ride facility and to obtain administrative authorization for the installation of the curb cut as described; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to execute any and all administrative forms, including but not limited to the ODOT Permit Application attached hereto, necessary to secure the authorization to proceed with the public roadway & Park-N-Ride facility; N4W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO.
