The savings total approximately $11,000 for the
remainder of the year.
Further, development patrols could be reduced among auxiliary police. I3evelopment
patrols cost the city $100 a night and are conducted on two evenings a week. Total
expenses for the remainder of the year, including a reserve would be approximately
$8,000.
It was also noted that auxiliary police officers aze called for emergency duty during major
stortns, prisoner suicide watches and serious motor vehicle accidents.
Based upon the discussion with Safety personnel, it was agreed that development patrols
would be reinstated and a reserve created for emergency purposes. It wa.5 agreed that a
total of $8,000 would be required for these auxiliary police purposes.
lli? "Together We Can Make A Difference!" °?-
"'y
??_ _
