SECTION 3: All resid+ents and non-residents receiving emergency medical service and <br />or ambulance transportation sha11 pay a utilization charge therefore on a per person, per call basis <br />deternuned as follows: <br />A. BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Per applicable and current <br />B. BASIC LIFE SUPPORT WITH OXYGEN Medicare and Medicaid <br />C. ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT reimbursement rates. <br />D. ONE-WAY MII.,EAGE $ 3.50 per mile <br />SECTION 4: The senior member of the paramedic crew of the responding ambulance <br />shall determine to which hospital the person shall be transported. The aforemernioned chaxges listed <br />are hereby established for emergency medical service and ambulance transportation to St. John West <br />Shore Hospital and Fairview Hospital. Ambulance transportation to Lakewood Hospital, Southwest <br />General Hospital, MetroHealth Medical Center and all others not specifically listed within this <br />Ordinance must first be approved by the senior member of the paramedic crew or Central Emergency <br />Dispatch and such transportation shall be subject to an additional utilization charge of $50.00 per <br />person, per call and shall be in addition to those charges listed within this section. <br />SECTION 5: The Director of Public Safety shall direct the Chief of the Division of Fire <br />to establish rules, regulations and procedures in accordance with the intent of this Ordinance. The <br />Fire Chief shall submit such rules, regulations and procedures to the Uirector of Public Safety for <br />review, modification and approval. Upon appraval, said rules, regulations and procedures are to <br />becoine a part of the official Fire Department Rules, Regulations and Orders Manual. <br />"Non-resident" <br />Is a person who resides outside the municipal boundaries of the City of North Olmsted. <br />"Basic Life Supuort" <br />Is defined as basic ambulance transportation without the use or need of "Advanced <br />Life Support." <br />page 3 <br />SECTION 6: DEFINITIONS.
