WITNESSETH: WIiEREAS, Section 5501.43 (C) of the Qhio Revised Code provides that the Director of Transpqrtation may coordinate the activities of the Department of Transportation with other apgropriate guUlic authorities and enter into contracts with such authorities as necessary to carry out its duties, powers, and functions; and, WHFREAS, the repuir and resurfacing of LarniR Road (SR-1 a), hcreinaRcr refarrod to as the PRQJECT, is a transportafion activity eligiblc ta reeeive State Highway funding; and, WHEREAS, the LPA has received funding approval for the PROJECT from the Program Aganager having responsibility for the State Highway funds involved, and WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of bath aDOT and thc LPA to have the LPA serve as the zespansible lead agcncy for the administration of the project NOW, THEREFO1tE, and in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter stipulated to be kept anct pessfazmed, it is agreed betwem ODOT and the I.PA as fnHaws: SE ON I - P'URPUSE The purpose of this Agreemont is to set forth requirements associ ated with the State Hi.ghway funds available far the FROTECT and to establish the responsibilities for the administration of the PROJECT by the LPA and ODOT.
