CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-49 <br />By: Ma.por Musial <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORI'ZING THE DIRECTOR pF PUBLIC SAFETY TO <br />DISPOSE OF CERTAIN SURPLUS GROUNDSREEPING EQUIPMENT <br />OA'NED BY THE CITYAND FORMERLY-USED AT SPRIN6YALE, TU-WIT, <br />A 1990 RU 450 D FAIRN'AY MOWER, 1990 TORO SP14 SAND RAKE AND <br />1988 TORO GMS GREENSMOWER, BY TRAI)ING IN THE SAID SURPLIIS <br />EQUIPMEN1' AND RECEI VllVG A CREDIT OF $15,985. 00 AGAINST THE <br />PRICE OF NEW GROUNDS%EEPING EQUIPMEIVT, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council, pursuant to Section 955.02 of the Codified Ordinances, is required <br />to approve the disposal of surplus City-owned personal property having a fair market value in excess <br />of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00); and <br />WHERF.AS, this Council has heretofare this year appropriated funds for the lease/purchase <br />of new groundskeeping equipment needed at Springvale; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety, in the coUrse of purchasing said new <br />groundskeeping equipment for Springvale, has negotiated a trade-in allowance of $15,985.00, for the <br />City's old RU 450 D Fairway Mower, Taro SP 14 Sand Rake and Toro GMS Greensmower, which <br />is surplus property no longer needed by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Control has reviewed and approved a lease/purchase of <br />groundskeeping equipment for Springvale, which provides for the City to receive a trade-in credit of <br />$15,985.00 for the City's old RU 450 D Fairway Mower, Tpro SP14 5and Rake and Toro GMS <br />Greensmower; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council determines that trading in the said surplus groundskeeping <br />equipment and receiving a credit against the lease/purchase price for new groundskeeping equipment <br />is a commercially reasonable method of disposing of the said surplus praperty; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council fixther desires to authorize the Director of Public Safety to sell the <br />said surplus property by such method; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SEC770N 1; That the Director of Public Safety be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to trade-in the City-owned 1990 RU 450 D Fairway Mower, 1990 Toro SP14 Sand Rake and 1988 <br />.;? `Kan >ER'.N°J°PP%?`?f€u NabiE.n?a• ?.:y .a. , ., .;up. ,.. .i:... . . , . . ? q -.tti'sx .,.. -'?' __ ._.. . . .
