,?.. , <br />Ordinance No. 2002-51 <br />Page 2 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII. 4F THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OffiO: <br />SECTI4N 1: That Ordinance 97• 122 be, and the same hereby is, repealed, void and of <br />no force and effect. <br />SECTION 2: The repeal of Ordinance No. 97-122 sha11 not apply to or affect the status <br />of the current Directors of Public Service, Public Safety and Human Resources, who are each <br />serving on an interim basis, pursuant to appoi7crtments made by the Mayor under Ordinance <br />No. 97-122. Notwithstanding the adoption of Ordinance No. 2002-51, the said thrce directors <br />shall each continue to serve as interim directors until the earliest of the foliowing events occurs: <br />(1) the one year anniversary of the date of his or her iirterim appointmerrt by the Mayor, <br />whereupon he or she shall become a permanent director; (2) his or her removai from office by <br />the Mayor; (3) his or her appointment as a permanent director by the Mayor; or (4) his or her <br />resignation from office. <br />SECTION 3: That this 4rdinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that Councit requires this ordinance to take effect immediately so that no fiuther <br />interim appointments are made by the Ma.yor pursuant to Ordinance No. 97-122, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and appraval by the Mayor. <br />., <br />; <br />PASSED: <br />t <br />AT7'EST.? <br />arbara L.
