. .... . .__.. . . .. _ _... _ . . ,. . .. .., :.: . , . .... .?e;::, .?.,..,:.:. ...,.,.t. , . ?.. . .?, ,? ?..? : . . ; . - .,.. . .. , ...? .a . <br />Urdinance No. 2002-53 <br />Five handicapped spaces for every 200 to 299 parking spaces; <br />Six handicapped spaces for every 300 to 399 parking spaces; <br />Seven handicapped spaces for every 400 to SUO parking spaces; and <br />One additional handicapped space for every additiona1200 parking spaces in excess of 500 <br />parking spaces. <br />Such handicapped parking spaces shall be located reasonably close to exits, entrances, elevators, <br />and ramps, and each handicapped parking space shall not be less than twelve by twemy feet. <br />(b) In addition to establishing and maintaining handicapped parking spaces as provided <br />for in paragraph (a), every person reqwred to comply with the requirements of paragraph (a) shall <br />erect and maintaan, for each such handicapped parlcing space, a handicapped parking sign which <br />complies with Section 351.20(a) of the Traffic Code. <br />(c) The establishment and mau?tenance of such handicapped parking spaces and <br />handicapped pazking signs, as provided in paragraphs (a) and (b), sha11 be a condition for the <br />issuance and retention of an occupancy pernvt. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to cause notice of a <br />Public Hearing hereon to be given pwsuant to the provision of Section 14 of Article IV of the Charter <br />of the City. <br />SECTION 3: That any Ordinance, or part of any Ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />any provisian of this Ordinance is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. <br />SECT70N 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST.• <br />BARBARA L.
