<br />Mr. Dennis Long, P. E. <br />City of North Olmsted <br />Wastewater Division <br />23775 Mastick Road <br />North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 <br />May 1, 2002 <br />Olmsted sanitary sewer system. Also, in preparation for upcoming Section 201 and 208 <br />planning efforts that will be required by the Ohio EPA and the Northeast Ohio Areawide <br />Coordinating Agency (NOACA), North Olmsted is interested in determining how to best serve <br />the presently unsewered axeas of Olmsted Township within the North Olmsted Facilities <br />Planning Area given the original layout of the existing sewer system and the North Olmsted <br />Facilities Planning Area modified by NOACA in November 2000. <br />Long-Term Goals <br />Convert a11 sanitary sewer system "as built" drawings to digitized files in AutoCAD <br />Version 12 format. <br />Assist the City in implementing the routine use of its Cartegraph SewerViewO software <br />through developing a data base of the existing paper records of the 11,000 sewer <br />connections in North Olmsted and AutoCAD Version 12 of the sanitary sewer system <br />"as built" drawings. <br />Gradual preparation of a sanitary sewer system master plan for the balance of Olmsted <br />Township in the revised North Olmsted Facilities Planning Area starting with the <br />Phase I scope and then proceeding i.nto successive study areas as planning condifions <br />may dictate. <br />Phase I Scoue , <br />? Assemble available sanitary sewer mapping both at Floyd Browne Associates and the <br />Ciry. <br />• Determine short-term a.nd ultima.te average day and peak wastewater flows based on <br />probable zoning and/or building densities within the study area including an acceptable <br />I/I fraction and an ADF peaking factor. Using USGS maps, evaluate the topograpliic <br />restraints as they present themselves in the.study area; identify areas that may require <br />lift stations. <br />Phase I Proiect Deliverables <br />• Phase I Executive summary-style report. <br />• Phase I Technical evaluation sheets and tables showing the probable size(s) of sanitary <br />sewers, the probable sanitary sewer invert elevations and probable manhole rim surface <br />elevations at key manholes and the upstream terminus manholes. <br />Floyd Browne Associates, Inc.
