Ordinance No. 2002-99 Page 2 (c) Term of an Interim Apvointrnent. The interim Director sha11 serve at the pleasure of the Mayor for a period not to exceed one year. During the period of the interim Director's service, the Mayor may at any time remove the interim Director from office with or without cause, and without obtaining the consent or concurrence of the Council. (d) Rip-hts to Office Acquired. If the Mayor fails to replace an itrterim Director with a permanent Directar within the year period following his or her appointment as an interim Director, then the interim appoirnment shall become a pelmaneirt appointment, and the said Director may thereafter be removed from office only in accordance with the removal provisions of Section 5(A) of this Article of the Charter. SECTION 2. If the foregoing proposal receives the affirmative vote of a majority of the electors voting thereon, then new Section 6 of Article III sha11 be effective as of the earliest date provided by law. SECTION 3.
