<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2008 - 160 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE <br />POLICE DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Administration and Council to update the composition <br />of the Police Division; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Organizational Chart for the Police Division of the City of North <br />Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Division and the personnel set forth in the <br />Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Police, who shall be in charge of the <br />entire Police Division. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of all non-uniform personnel in accardance <br />with the Ordinance establishing the same, by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of between forty-five (45) and fifty-nine <br />(59) sworn police officers which shall consist of up to: two (2) Captains, four (4) <br />Lieutenants, seven (7) Sergeants, and up to nine (9) police officers assigned to the <br />Detective Bureau. <br />D. The Police Division as constituted herein shall be classified by the Directar of Public <br />Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances and Resolutions <br />in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance.
