CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2008 -155 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 3 AND 8 OF <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-103 WHICH, INTER ALIA, <br />ESTABLISHED FEES AND CHARGES FOR EMERGENCY <br />MEDICAL SERVICES RENDERED BY THE NORTH <br />OLMSTED FIRE DEPARTMENT, AS PREVIOUSLY <br />AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2002-154, IN ORDER TO <br />INCREASE FEES AND CHARGES AND FURTHER TO <br />PROVIDE FOR ALL BILLING REVENUES TO BE PAID <br />INTO THE GENERAL FUND AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, in 2002 this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2002-103, which, inter alia, <br />established fees and charges for emergency medical services rendered by the North Olmsted Fire <br />Department, and provided for the funds into which revenues received from services rendered to <br />residents as well as non-residents were to be paid; and <br />WHEREAS, later in 2002 this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2002-154, which amended <br />Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2002-103 and established new fees and charges for emergency <br />medical services rendered; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor and the Director of Finance that fees <br />and charges for emergency medical services be increased and that all revenues received for <br />emergency medical services rendered by the North Olmsted Fire Department regardless of source <br />be paid into the General Fund rather than, as currently provided, part into the Hotel/Motel Tax <br />Fund, part into the General Fund, and part into the EMS Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the recommendation of the <br />Administration, to accordingly amend Sections 3 and 8 of Ordinance No. 2002-103, as previously <br />amended by Ordinance No. 2002-154, to provide for new fees and charges for emergency medical <br />services rendered by the North Olmsted Fire Department and further to provide that all revenues <br />i eceived from the billings for said emergency medical services be paid into the General Fund; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2002-103, as previously amended by <br />Ordinance No. 2002-154, which currently states as follows: <br />"All residents and noh-residents receiving emergency medical service and or ambulance <br />transportation shall pay a utilization charge therefore on a per person, per call basis determined <br />as follows: <br />
