? <br />a <br />Resolution No. 2008 - 126 <br />SECTION 2: That this Council does, in accordance with the rules and requirements for <br />CDBG applications, and in order to satisfy any and all prerequisites to qualify the same, hereby <br />authorize and direct the Director of Planning to coordinate with the Director of Public Services, <br />as may be necessary, to develop the said project proposal so as to meet and/or exceed the CDBG <br />application standards, and for the latter Director to provide any and all necessary information and <br />assistance to the Director of Planning in establishing, documenting, and fulfilling the CDBG <br />application specifications for the said project proposal. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the <br />further reason it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order that the City <br />may make a timely application for Community Development Block Grant funds on or before <br />November 14, 2008, and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of the Council; it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />?" ,Q.?.I?.. _ c..l?
