In addition to the salaries as specified herein, the Chief of Police, Chief of Fire and Assistant Chief of <br />Fire shall be entitled to any and all benefits afforded the members of each of their respective <br />departments, except that the Chief of Police and Chief of Fire, as expressly provided in Section 17 of <br />this Ordinance, and the Assistant Fire Chief if this latter position in the future is determined by the City to <br />be FLSA exempt, shall not be entitled to overtime pay or comp time benefits. <br />Section 14: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for various employees of the Division of <br />Youth Services. The salaries in this Section shall be determined by the Director of Public Safety and the <br />Mayor as appropriate. <br />FROM TO Pay <br />2008 Type <br />A. All Inspectors shall receive as an Inspector Certification incentive the amount specified in the <br />bargaining unit agreement for the particular year. <br />Section 16: That all pay ranges and amounts established will be effective no earlier than January 1st of the <br />respective year. Salaries specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a biweekly <br />basis. <br />Section 17: Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA")/Compensatorv ("Comp") Time That, upon approval of <br />the Mayor or respective Director, all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance, except for those holding <br />Elected or Director positions, the Police Chief, the Fire Chief, and personnel determined by the City to be <br />exempt from the overtime provisions of the FLSA, will be paid time and one-half their straight time rates of pay <br />for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one work week, unless the Mayor or their respective Director <br />has established and implemented a comp time policy for such personnel that is not in conflict with either the <br />FLSA or Section 161.13 of the Administrative Code. Double time, or comp time if applicable, shall be paid to <br />said personnel for Sundays and Holidays provided they have worked at least forty (40) hours in the said work <br />week. <br />Page 6 of 8
