r CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - 11 By: Mayor O'Grady A RESOL UTION AUTHORIZING ?'HE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LIFE SER VICES TO AD VER TISE FOR BIDS FOR THE REPAIR AND/OR REPLACEMENT OF THE FILTER FOR THE OZITDOOR POOL AT THE RECREATION CENTER; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, IF NECESSARY, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the filter at the outdoor pool at the Recreation Center requires repair or replacement in order that the outdoor pool may be used by the public during the upcoming outdoor swimming season; and WHEREAS, the expenditure far said repair or replacement is expected to exceed the minimum amount for which competitive bidding is required by the City Charter; and WHEREAS, plans and specifications for said repair or replacement have been prepared and are on file in the office of the Director of Community Life Services; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Community Life Services to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to repair or replace the filter for the outdoor pool all as set forth in the said plans and specifications, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract with tiie lowest and best bidder; NO W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CO UNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Community Life Services be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the award of a contract for the repair or replacement of the filter for the outdoor pool at the Recreation Center, as detailed in the plans and specifications now on file in his office; and that further, the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City with the lowest and best bidder.
