<br />91 Business Districts 1139.01 <br />J. Gasoline service stations and automobile wash, provided that no <br />part of the lot upon which the same is located is within 500 feet <br />of any lot occupied by an existing church, public or private <br />school, playground, park, library, public building or building <br />of institutional occupancy, except where the distance is <br />intersected by a street at least sixty feet in width and no <br />alcoholic beverages are dispensed or sold on the same lot. <br />K. Bowling alleys, dance halls, pool and billiard parlors, skating <br />rinks, indoor theatres, assembly halls or other sport or <br />recreation centers, provided the buildings in which they operate <br />are sufficiently sound insulated to confine effectively the noise <br />to within the building so used. <br />L. Accessory uses customarily incident to a primary use described <br />in this section, including offstreet parking as regulated in <br />Chapter 1161 and signs as regulated in Chapter 1163. <br />M. Any and all uses permitted in Chapter 1138 subject to the <br />provisions stated therein. <br />(c) Other retail service establishments as determined similar in accordance with the <br />provisions of Section 1123.10. <br />(d) Permitted Buildings and Uses bv Conditional Use Permit. The following uses <br />may be permitted in a General Retail Business District if a conditional use permit is issued in <br />accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1118: <br />(1) Vehicle repair establishments including engines, body and paint. <br />(2) Animal training facilities and indoor animal boarding facilities, <br />excluding kennels, provided, that, in addition to the criteria, standards <br />and conditions provided for in Chapter 1118, no such facility shall be <br />located closer than 350 feet from any residential zoning district, and <br />further provided that animal noise and odor must be effectively <br />confined to any such building so used. <br />(e) Definitions. For the purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply: <br />(1) "Animal hospitals/clinics" means any facility used for the medical treatment <br />of animals, where animals may be boarded only during their convalescence <br />from such medical treatment, and where all operations are conducted <br />completely indoors. <br />(2) "Animal grooming facility" means any facility providing bathing or <br />trimming of domestic animals for a fee, where all operations are conducted <br />completely indoors. This term includes facilities that board domestic <br />animals for a maximum period of forty-eight hours incidental to the <br />grooming services provided. <br />(3) "Animal training facility" means any facility providing training of domestic <br />animals for a fee, where all operations are conducted completely indoors. <br />This term includes facilities that board domestic animals for a maximum <br />period of forty-eight hours incidental to the training services provided. <br />(4) "Indoor animal boarding facility" means any facility where domestic <br />animals owned by another person are temporarily boarded for a fee and <br />whose activities are conducted completely indoors. <br />(5) "Kennels" means any facility used for the boarding, breeding, raising, <br />training, showing, or selling of dogs and/or cats for a fee.
