DiSalvo and Members of the Recreation Department,
Re: LITTLE CLAGUE #1 and #2 BASEBALL DIAMONDS PROPOSAL
This letter is to serve as our letter of intent and scope of work for the reconstruction and
restoration of the infields of Diamond #1 and Diamond #2, located at the North Olmsted Little
Claque Park. The intent of this expenditure is in our continued effort to provide a quality field of
play that meets the demands of the over 500 families who participate in our baseball program,
and as a side benefit of improving our city parks without spending tax payer funds.
The 2008 North Olmsted Hot Stove Board of Directors have voted unanimously to renovate the
ball diamonds known as Little Claque #1 and #2 via a private contract in which we surmised
"best value response" from LawnCo Inc.,( a sports turf landscape company), which we have
previously worked with.
RECAP from 2007: We issued our purchase order # 040406-900-03 to LawnCo Inc last year in
the amount of $14, 300.00 for the renovation of the infield and outfield areas on Diamond #5 of
the North Olmsted Park. In addition to that purchase order, we have also used this company for
the renovation of the Birch ball diamond located behind the birch elementary school located on
Palm Dr. That purchase order was for $10,100.00. By all accounts, these now are the two best
ball diamonds in the city. A total of $24,300.00 has been invested in these fields by North
Olmsted Hot Stove Baseball.
Continued: Page TWO.
