<br />LETTER OF UNDI,RSTANDING <br />The parties agree thai as a matter of policy the Ciry has agreed that ii is the obligation of <br />the City to provide members of the bargaiiung uuii with Body .Armor. The parties have agreed to <br />provide the same by virtue of Article 26 of the Agreement. As a matter of equity the City <br />recognizes each of the menlbers of the Collective Bargaining Unit have purchased the same with <br />their own filiids and it is the desire of the City to reimburse each member in the amount of six <br />hundl-ed ($600.00) dollars for said Body Armor. Said amount shall be paid as soon as <br />practicable, bLit not later than the second pay in March, 2001. <br />FOP/Ohio Labor Council, Inc. City of North Olmsted <br />In the event there is created a work day in excess of eight (8) hours by the Employer, then <br />ii1 the event the work day shall be expressed in terins of hours and all rights, duties and privileges <br />expressed in this agreement shall be convened from days to llours. As an example, overtime <br />shall be based on hours worked over the newly scheduled `work day". In no event shall <br />management right to schedule hours of work be affected by changing the work day in excess of <br />eight (8) hours. It is expressly agreed and understood that the creation of a work day in excess of <br />eight (8) hours shall not increase any benefit regarding compensation, vacation, tiine off or any <br />other benefit of employment. Should the parties move to a ten (10) hour shift, holiday time shall <br />be convened to one hundred (100) hours. <br />25
