<br />6.09 The Employer realizes that employees are permitted to schedule tilne off for vacations <br />and paid holidays. The Einployer will do everything possible to see that the employee will get <br />time off that is piclced in accordance with department policy as established by the Chief of <br />Police. The Employer will not cancel, except in an emergency, any tiine picked during the <br />original vacation and paid holiday picl:s. <br />The Employer also realizes that employees may take other vacation tin7e and paid <br />holidays that are not addressed above. In addition, time off is permitted in the lorm of overtime <br />off and unused sick leave time off. The Employer will do everything possible to see that the <br />employee will get this time off except in an emergency or at the request of the einployee. <br />ARTICLE 7 WAGES <br />7.01 Effective January 1, 2007, all enlployees shall be paid in accordance with the followiug <br />schedule: <br />2007 Hourly <br />Corrections Officer-First Year 14.59 <br />Corrections Officer-Second Year 15.75 <br />Corrections Officer-Third Year 16.91 <br />Corrections Officer-Fourth Year 18.07 <br />Corrections Officer-Fifth Year 19.89 <br />7.02 Effective January 1, 2008, all employees shall be paid in accoi°dance with the <br />following schedule: <br />2008 Hourly <br />Corrections Officer-First Year 15.18 <br />Con-ections Officer-Second Year 16.38 <br />Corrections Officer-Third Year 17.59 <br />Corrections Officer-Fourth Year 18.80 <br />Corrections Officer-Fifth Year 20.69 <br />7.03 Shift differeiltial: All employees shall receive a shift differential in the aniount of seventy- <br />five ($.75) cents per hour. Shift differential shall be paid to employees assigned to the second <br />(1600 to 2400) shift, third (2400 to 0800) shift, and swing (2000 to 0400) shift respectively. <br />7.04 All forms of coinpensation shall be paid by electronic deposit conlinencing at the <br />Employer's convenience, but not later than thirty (30) days after the execution of this <br />Agreement. In the event an einployee is unable to arrange for electronic deposit, the Employei- <br />will nieet with the employee to attempt to remedy the problem. <br />4
