<br />All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance hired between July 1 st and December 31 st of any given year <br />shall receive two (2) personal days upon their date of hire. Personal days must be used before the end of the <br />year in which they were earned and are not eligible for buy back. Following the first year of employment, <br />these employees will earn their personal days on January 1 st of each subsequent year. <br />Section 20: Vacation That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual <br />vacation in accordance with Section 161.11 of the Administrative Code. All previous service as an elected city <br />public official within the city shall be considered full-time for the purpose of calculating vacation and sick leave <br />upon retirement. <br />Section 21: Attendance Bonus Davs That all full-time personnel who do not use sick leave time for any <br />calendar quarter (i.e., Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, or Oct-Dec), shall receive eight (8) hours of paid time off. In <br />addition, full-time personnel who do not use sick leave time for any calendar half (i.e., Jan-Jun, or Jul-Dec), <br />shall receive an additional eight (8) hours of paid time off for each such calendar half. (This provision shall be <br />construed so that employees may receive no more than a maximum of forty-eight (48) hours each calendar <br />year.) Such attendance bonus days may be taken at a time mutually agreeable to the City and the employee <br />and they must be taken within one year of the date they are earned. Up to one absence per year for attending <br />a funeral may be used without affecting eligibility for bonus days. <br />Section 22: Boot Allowance That the following full-time employees shall be reimbursed by the City in an <br />amount not to exceed $200 annually for the purchase or purchases of boots by such employees for use in <br />their employment with the City of North Olmsted: Public Works Foremen; Fleet Manager; Waste Water <br />Treatment Plant Superintendent; Waste Water Treatment Plant Assistant Superintendent; Plant Operations <br />Foremen; Plant Maintenance Foremen; Pre-Treatment Coordinator; Sanitary Sewer System Supervisor; <br />Chemist; Assistant Chemist; Recreation Maintenance Foremen; and Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor. <br />Said full-time employees shall be entitled to receive such reimbursement in any year by presenting to the <br />Finance Department, no later than by the 15th day of June of that year, receipts which document his or her <br />expenditure or expenditures, during the immediately preceding one year period, for the purchase of such <br />boots. Upon timely submitting such documentation to the Finance Department no later than by the 15th day of <br />June of any year, the City shall reimburse such employee at the next pay day that falls in the month of July. <br />Section 23: Electronic Deposit All forms of compensation shall be paid by electronic deposit to commence <br />at the City's convenience, but not less than thirty (30) days after adoption of this ordinance. If it is determined <br />that an employee is not bankable, a check will be issued for all forms of compensation for such employee. <br />Section 24: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict herewith are <br />hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 25: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for <br />the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of this City and for the further reason that it is <br />necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately so that the Administration may process pay increases <br />for vital City personnel whose pay increases have been delayed since January, and further provided that it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members of this Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: First Reading: <br />l?- Second Reading: S 0t <br />ATTEST: <br />13arbara Seman, ClelFk of Council <br />`APPROV D: <br />? <br />? <br />Thomas E.
