F. All Inspectors shall receive as an Inspector Certification incentive the amount specified in the <br />bargaining unit agreement for the particular year. <br />Section 16: That all pay ranges and amounts established will be effective no earlier than January 1 st of <br />the respective year. Salaries specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a <br />biweekly basis. <br />Section 17: Fair Labor Standards Act 1"FLSA")/Compensatorv ("Comp") Time That, upon approval <br />of the Mayor or respective Director, all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance, except for those <br />holding Elected or Director positions, the Police Chief, the Fire Chief, and personnel determined by the <br />City to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the FLSA, will be paid time and one-half their straight <br />time rates of pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one work week, unless the Mayor or <br />their respective Director has established and implemented a comp time policy for such personnel that is <br />not in conflict with either the FLSA or Section 161.13 of the Administrative Code. Double time, or comp <br />time if applicable, shall be paid to said personnel for Sundays and Holidays provided they have worked <br />at least forty (40) hours in the said work week. <br />Section 18: Lonqevitv (a) That, except as provided in paragraph (c) below, all full-time personnet <br />listed within this Ordinance who were hired by the City prior to January 1, 2005, having completed five <br />(5) years of full-time service as an employee of the City shall be paid an additional four percent (4%) of <br />their base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their tenth (10th) year of <br />full-time service; after completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall <br />receive five percent (5%) of their base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion <br />of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service; after completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time <br />service, such personnel shall receive six percent (6%) of their base annual salary thereafter as longevity <br />increments until completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time service; and after completion of their <br />twentieth (20th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive seven percent (7%) of their base <br />annual salary thereafter as longevity increments for so long as they continue to be full-time employees of <br />the City. <br />(b) Effective January 1, 2009, except as provided in paragraph (c) below, all full-time personnel listed <br />within this Ordinance, having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service, and receiving <br />longevity compensation under the percent of base pay as of January 1, 2009, shall continue to receive <br />the fixed amount on the base rate of pay in effect on January 1, 2009, until such time as the table below <br />provides a greater benefit, then the table will control. All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance <br />having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service as an employee of the City after January <br />1, 2009 shall be paid an additional five hundred dollars ($500.00) as annual longevity increments <br />thereafter until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service; after completion of their tenth <br />(10th) year of full-time continuous service, such personnel shall receive one thousand dollars <br />($1,000.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full- <br />time continuous service; after completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continuous service, <br />such personnel shall receive one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) as annual longevity <br />increments thereafter until completion of their twentieth (20th) year af full-time continuous service; after <br />completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time continuous service, such personnel shall receive two <br />thousand dollars ($2,000.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter for so long as they continue to <br />be full-time employees of the City. <br />(c) Full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance hired after April 30, 2008 shall not be entitled to <br />receive longevity pay under either paragraph (a) or (b) above. Full-time elected officials shall not be <br />entitled to receive longevity pay under either paragraph (a) or (b) above for terms of office that begin on <br />the 1 st day of January, 2010, or thereafter. <br />Section 19: Holidavs and Personal Davs That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall <br />receive the following holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in <br />emergencies, and shall receive their regular rate of pay: New Year's Day; Presidents' Day; one-half (1/2) <br />day on Good Friday; Memoriat Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; one-half (1/2) <br />day on Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; and one-half (1/2) day on New Year's Eve Day. Employees hired <br />between January 1st and June 30th of any given year shall receive four (4) personal days upon their <br />date of hire. <br />Page 6 of 7
