We get approvai from the local fire department (usually the fire chief) were the property is <br />located to burn the structure. Locai Fire Chief must sign Cleveland and Ohio EPA paperwork <br />allowing us to open burn. <br />b. CCCFTA owns (2) pumpers and both pumpers are required to be on site all day during the live <br />burn. <br />c. Contact other city departments (Police, Service, City Hall, and Building) to inform them of the <br />live burn dates. If any other permits are needed by the city, CCCFTA will work with the owner <br />to get the permits needed. Owner incurs all cost for these additional permits. <br />d. Notify owners of the properties surrounding the property wnere the live burn is going to take <br />place. <br />8. Local municipality responsibiiities - <br />a. Building department (usually notified by fire department) will review if an application for a <br />demolishina permit is needed. <br />9. CCCFTA responsibilities - <br />a. Follow NFPA 1403 "Live Fire Training Evolutions" guidelines for this type of training <br />b. Maintain a 3 to 1 student to instructor ratio for safety and c;ontrol. <br />c. Insure that academic and logistical prerequisites are fulfilled. <br />d. Insurance coverage for all parties involved in the training. <br />e. Coordinate and plan this training with the owners, fire departments, and the city having <br />jurisdiction. <br />f. Complete "Pre-Burn checklist for acquired Building" form.
