IV CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2008 - 93 BY: Mayor O'Grady AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 97-34, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE HOTEL/MOTEL TAX FUND, AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2006-113, IN ORDER TO FURTHER EXPAND THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH MONIES IN THE SAID FUND MAY BE EXPENDED, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, in 1997 Council adopted Ordinance No. 97-34, thereby creating the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund; and WHEREAS, in 2006 Council adopted Ordinance No. 2006-113, expanding the puiposes for which monies in the said Fund may be expended; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor, the Directar of Finance arid the Director of Public Safety, that the purposes for which monies in the said Fund may be expended be further expanded to include any and all needs of the Citv's Police and Fire divisions, including emergencv dispatch ; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the recommendation of the Administration, to accordingly further amend Section 1 of Ordinance No. 97-34, as previously amended by Ordinance No. 2006-113, to authorize expenditure of funds out of the said Fund for any and all needs of the Police or Fire divisions includinQ emer,g-encv dispatch, with ±he excention of wa-ees and benefits I NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CI7'Y OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No.97-34, as previously amended by Ordinance No. 2006-113, which presently reads as follows: Section 1: That there is hereby created a Hotel/Motel Tax Fund within the Special Revenue Fund group to account for the City's hotel and motel tax revenues and related authorized expenditures of the Police and Fire Divisions. Authorized expenditures from the Fund shall be limited to the purchase of vehicles and equipment for Police and Fire Division Staff, and the repair or replacement of buildings and other capital items or improvenients at the Police and Fire Stations.
