18.3 It is the intent of the parties that this Agreement be interpreted as practicable as <br />possible in accordance with Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />ARTICLE 19 <br />PER DIEM FOR SCHOOLING <br />19.1 Members of the bargaining unit sha11 be reimbursed, not to exceed twenty-seven <br />dollars ($27.00) per da.y as per diem expenses for meals while in attendance at Police Training <br />Schools outside of Cuyahoga County requiring an "overnight" away from Cuyahoga County. <br />For schools outside of the City of Narth Olmsted not requiring an "overnight" away from the <br />city, the reimbursement shall not exceed seven dollars ($7.00) per day. All meal expenses shall <br />require receipts to obtain reimbursement. Reimbursement will not be made for alcoholic <br />beverages or tips. For Police Training Schools where meals are provided, no per diem will be <br />provided. <br />When an employee in the subject bargaining urvt is assigned to an educational <br />assignment requiring an "overnight" away from Cuyahoga Couniy any travel time on one of the <br />concerned days beyond his/her eight hour shift caused by travel will be paid to a maximum of <br />two hours at one and one-half (11/Z) times his/her regular rate of pay. <br />In no event sha11 the provisions of this paragraph apply to or enure to the benefit of a <br />member of the bargaining unit who is enrolled in a course of study leading to Basic Police <br />Training Certification. <br />? <br />24 <br />
