? <br />AGREEMENT <br />This Agreement is made between the City of North Olmsted (hereinafter referred to as <br />the "City"), and Ohio Labor Council (hereinafter referred to as the "F.O.P."). <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to provide a fair and reasonable method of ena.bling <br />employees covered by this Agreement to participate, through representa.tion, in the <br />establishment of terms and conditions of their employment, and to establish a peaceful <br />procedure for the resolution of differences between the parties. <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />RECOGTVITION <br />1.1. The Administration recognizes the F.O.P./Ohio Labor Council as the sole and <br />exclusive bargaining representative for all fuli-time Corrections Officers in the City of North <br />Oimsted for the purpose of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of <br />? r <br />work and conditions of employment. It is further understood by the parties that wages, total <br />complernent of personnel, and certaan other economic provisions are subject to enactment of an <br />appropriate ordirtance by the North Olmsted City Council pursuant to the City Charter. <br />1.2 In the event of a dispute between the parties as to future inclusions or exclusions <br />from the units resulting from the establishment of new or changed classifications or titles, either <br />party to this Agreement may apply to the State Employment Relations Board for resolutions of <br />the disputes. <br />1.3 Mana.gement shall not attempt to erode the bargaining units or the rights of <br />bargaining unit employees. Except in emergency circumstances, work normally performed by <br />bargaining unit members shall first be offered to bargaining unit members. <br />?;. <br />
