Iv'OPEG wiil also assist meinber <br />communities with alt required notificatians, infocmation, and pubLe hearings. <br />2.5.4.1 Contract Disclosurc <br />NOPEC witl ensure that consumers arc pravidec3 wiili adequate, accurate and <br />understandabie pricing arid terms and conditions of service, including any switching fecs, ept-aut <br />opportunities, including the eondltions under which a consurner may sescind a contract without <br />penaky. <br />2.5.4.2 Billing and Service Assistance <br />Thc selccted Supplier(s) shall utilize the billing services of the locai disfibution company <br />tv render timeiy biltings to each paRicipating cansumer. Separate biRs from the seiected <br />Supplier(s) and ttie local disiribution company rnay aisa be requested for large commercial and <br />industrial customers, but such separate bills may incur an additional charge fram the selected <br />Supplier(s). <br />All bills at a minimum shall include the following information: (1) pricc antl tofal hi!ting <br />units for the billing period and histacieal anttuai usage; (2) to the maximum extent practieablc, <br />separatc listing of each service camponent to etiable a consumcr to recalculate iis bill for <br />aceuracy; (3) highlighted and clear explanations, for two consecutive bilting periods, of ariy <br />changes ir? the rates, terms, and conditions of scrvice; (4) identification of the suppIiei of each <br />service; (5) statemcnt of where and haw payment may be rnade and (6) a tol!-free or iocal <br />eustameT assiscance and coniptaint number far the Supplie:, as well as a consumer assistance <br />telephone numbers fai state agcncics, such as ttic Commissibn, the Office of the Consumers' <br />Counsei, and the Atcorney Generai's Office, with the available hvurs noted, <br />Credit and eallectivn proctsses concerning billing will remain the sole responsibility of <br />the selectr,d Supplier(s) and the local distribution company as previded by state law. Undcr no <br />circurnstanccs shaii NOPEC have any responsibility for payment vf any bilIs. <br />Unless otherwise specified in the Supply Contract, all billing shait he based an the meter <br />readings genecated by meters of the distnbution company at the consumcr facilities. Consurner <br />bills shali be rendered manthly. Customars are rtquired to remit and eomply wiih the payment <br />terms of First Energy and/4r the 5upplier. Billing rnay take place through the distributior? <br />campany at the Supplier's option. In the event that necessary billing data is not receivcd &om <br />the distribution company in time to prepare monthly bills, the Supplicr reserves the right to <br />issue a bili based an an estimate of the participating consumcr's usage for that billing period. <br />? ,,,
