It is further agreed that if any bargaining unit employed by the City of North Olmsted, in negotiations <br />held subsequent to this Agreement and for the same time period covered under this Agreement, <br />negotiates to conclusion a lower percentage of employee contribution to the Health Insurance Plan, <br />that lower percentage shall apply to the unit covered under this Agreement. Said lower percentage <br />shall commence under this Agreement at the time it is agreed upon by another unit, and shalt continue <br />for the remaining years covered under this Agreement. <br />Section 24.08 The City will continue to maintain the Heaith Care Plans as qualifed <br />plans under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code. <br />ARTICLE 25 <br />HOLIDAYS <br />Section 25.01 All full-time employees of the Transit Department shall be entitled to twelve <br />(12) holidays annually, as follows: <br />1. New Year's Day (observed date stated by GCRTA) <br />2. Easter <br />3. Memorial Day (Observed) <br />4. Independence Day (observed date stated by GCRTA) <br />5. Labor Day (Observed) <br />6. Thanksgiving Day <br />7. Christmas Day (observed date stated by GCRTA) <br />8. Employment Anniversary Date <br />9. Employee's Birthday <br />* 10. Floating Holiday <br />* 11. Floating Holiday <br />* 12. Floating Holiday, effective January 1, 1998 <br />*Floating holidays may be used anytime during the calendar year, subject to Section 25.05. <br />If any full-time employee is required to work on any of the following nine (9) Holidays; New Year's <br />Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or <br />the days an employee observes his birthday or employment anniversary day, then the employee shall <br />be paid time and one-half for such work in addition to the holiday pay. <br />Section 25.02 The use of holiday time by full-time employees shall be subject to the Employer's <br />administrative rules and regulations. When an observed holiday falls on the first day of a weekend, <br />the holiday will be celebrated on the day preceding the weekend. When a holiday falls on the second <br />day of a weekend the holiday will be celebrated on the day succeeding the weekend. If a holiday <br />occurs while an employee is on vacation leave, the employee may either receive the extra eight (8) <br />hours holiday pay or pick another day off. <br />Section 25.03 For an employee to receive holiday pay he must work the complete scheduled day <br />preceding and the complete scheduled day following the holiday. If an employee fails to work he <br />shall forfeit his holiday pay. Employees who call in sick for the holiday, shall also forfeit the holiday <br />pay. Holiday pay and sick leave shall not be paid on the same day. Management discretion may be <br />used in this section for special situations. <br />Section 25.04 All full-time employees shall give at least seven (7) days advance written notice to <br />receive consideration for a floating holiday. Floating holidays requested will be approved by <br />seniority. <br />22 <br />„
