Section 32.02 The longevity payment shall be made in December of each year, based upon employees who have completed continuous service prior to December lst of the payment year. Section 32.03 In order for the employee to be eligible for One Hundred Percent (100%) longevity of the above longevity payment, the employee must have worked for at ]east Two Hundred Forty Nine (249) days during the longevity year, which is considered as December 1 to November 30 and also be actively employed on December 1 st of the payment year. Worked days include vacation days, paid holidays and complete days worked; it excludes paid sick leave days; however it will include Major Illness paid sick leave days. (Major Illness is defined as the use of sick leave by the employee for his surgery, broken bones, hospitalization pneumonia, or recuperation of the afore mentioned ilInesses.) If the employee works less than 249 days then the longevity payment shall be pro-rated as foilows: 200 to 248 days 75% 152 to 199 days 50% 151 days or less 0% Section 32.04 As an exception to Section 32.03 above, any full-time employee who retires and receives a pension, or dies prior to December 1 st of the payment year shall be eligible to receive a longevity payrnent for that year based upon the proration schedule set forth above. ARTICLE 33 OVERTIME Section 33.01 Overtime pay for all employees except those in the classification of bus driver shall be at the rate of time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in one day or forty (40) hours in one week. Hours worked shall include vacation time and paid holiday time in addition to the time actually worked. Overtime will be paid to the nearest minute. Section 33.02 Overtime pay for employees in the classification of bus driver shall be in accordance with the GCRTA route schedules and past Employer practices. Section 33.03 In the computation of weekly overtime, for all employees, recognized holidays shall be considered as time worked, except where the holiday coincides with the scheduled day off of the employee. Section 33.04 Any full-time maintenance employee who is called in for overtime work shall be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) hours of overtime pay. Section 33.05 Any full-time operator who is called or scheduled for overtime work on his day off, shall be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) hours or more of overtime pay. Section 33.06 When an employee agrees to work on his scheduled day off, he sha21 be paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half. Section 33.07 Any extra operator overtime work not assigned (after assignment to extra list and miss operators) sha11 be presented, if three (3) hours or more, according to Appendix B. Section 33.08 The employer shall be the sole judge of the necessity of overtime for operators.
