Section 32.02 The longevity payment shall be made in December of each year, based upon <br />employees who have completed continuous service prior to December lst of the payment year. <br />Section 32.03 In order for the employee to be eligible for One Hundred Percent (100%) longevity <br />of the above longevity payment, the employee must have worked for at ]east Two Hundred Forty <br />Nine (249) days during the longevity year, which is considered as December 1 to November 30 and <br />also be actively employed on December 1 st of the payment year. Worked days include vacation days, <br />paid holidays and complete days worked; it excludes paid sick leave days; however it will include <br />Major Illness paid sick leave days. (Major Illness is defined as the use of sick leave by the employee <br />for his surgery, broken bones, hospitalization pneumonia, or recuperation of the afore mentioned <br />ilInesses.) If the employee works less than 249 days then the longevity payment shall be pro-rated as <br />foilows: <br />200 to 248 days 75% <br />152 to 199 days 50% <br />151 days or less 0% <br />Section 32.04 As an exception to Section 32.03 above, any full-time employee who retires and <br />receives a pension, or dies prior to December 1 st of the payment year shall be eligible to receive a <br />longevity payrnent for that year based upon the proration schedule set forth above. <br />ARTICLE 33 <br />OVERTIME <br />Section 33.01 Overtime pay for all employees except those in the classification of bus driver <br />shall be at the rate of time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in one day <br />or forty (40) hours in one week. Hours worked shall include vacation time and paid holiday time in <br />addition to the time actually worked. Overtime will be paid to the nearest minute. <br />Section 33.02 Overtime pay for employees in the classification of bus driver shall be in <br />accordance with the GCRTA route schedules and past Employer practices. <br />Section 33.03 In the computation of weekly overtime, for all employees, recognized holidays <br />shall be considered as time worked, except where the holiday coincides with the scheduled day off of <br />the employee. <br />Section 33.04 Any full-time maintenance employee who is called in for overtime work shall be <br />guaranteed a minimum of three (3) hours of overtime pay. <br />Section 33.05 Any full-time operator who is called or scheduled for overtime work on his day <br />off, shall be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) hours or more of overtime pay. <br />Section 33.06 When an employee agrees to work on his scheduled day off, he sha21 be paid at the <br />overtime rate of time and one-half. <br />Section 33.07 Any extra operator overtime work not assigned (after assignment to extra list and <br />miss operators) sha11 be presented, if three (3) hours or more, according to Appendix B. <br />Section 33.08 The employer shall be the sole judge of the necessity of overtime for operators.
