<br /> <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />(b) Presentation to the City of preliminary layout plans, budget and schedule for <br />review. <br />4. Drafting Services: <br />(a) Prepare plan and detail sheets at appropriate scales on 24" x 36" sheets. All <br />survey points are to be included on the drawing. Show all storm and sanitary <br />sewers and other utilities in plan and profile. Plans shall indicate any areas on <br />private property where grade of new improvements would necessitate such items <br />as minor grading of lawn areas or replacement of a portion of driveways. <br />(b) All lettering on the plan and detail sheets is to be done with drafting standards <br />acceptable to the City. Drawings shall include a title sheet, general notes, typical <br />sections, plan sheets, and detail sheets. Detail and special sheets shall include <br />intersection detail sheets, traffic signalization, pavement markings, and signage, <br />maintenance of traffic, and standard details. Cross-sections at 50-foot intervals <br />and at all aprons are required. Cross-sections shall show existing grades 30 feet <br />beyond proposed or work limits, whichever is greater. <br />(c) All final plans will be reviewed by the City. Submit two (2) interim copies of the <br />plans and specifications for review. <br />5. Detailed Design Document Services: <br />(a) Preparation of right-of-way acquisition and any easement plats and descriptions as <br />soon as possible to accommodate design services within the desired time frame. <br />(b) Preparation of design drawings and specifications for use in bidding and con- <br />struction. The specifications shall be incorporated into a project manual which <br />shall also include the advertisement, instruction to bidders, general conditions, <br />bid forms, bond requirements, prevailing wage rates, affidavits, and other misc- <br />ellaneous forms required for a bidding document. Final plans and specifications <br />shall incorporate all changes required in review of preliminary or intermediate <br />plans. <br />(c) All design drawings shall be done using an electronic program which is com- <br />patible with the AutoCAD C) Version 12 program. A diskette or diskettes, if <br />necessary, formatted in AutoCAD O Version 12 containing a file for each final <br />design drawing prepared during the project shall be submitted to the City. A <br />diskette or diskettes prepared in Microsoft Word of the detailed specifications <br />shall also be submitted to the City. <br />(d) Work shall be coordinated with utility companies as necessary. The City Engineer <br />shall be copied in all correspondence to utility companies. <br />t <br />
