<br /> <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />(e) Eighteen (18) sets of plans and fifteen (15) project manuals shall be furnished to <br />the City for bidding purposes. Additional sets shall be provided, if required, at <br />cost. <br />( fl An opinion of probable costs for the project, broken down into major compo- <br />nents, shall be submitted prior to bidding. <br />(g) The Engineer or his representative shall be available to answer questions <br />regarding plans intent during bidding and construction. <br />You may submit the price proposal in the format you deem most appropriate; however, <br />the City prefers the proposal to include an amount not to exceed a specific dollar amount <br />for the design of the facility and a specific dollaz amount for easement and/or right-of- <br />way acquisition plats. You must also submit a Direct Labor Hour Estimate using a table <br />prepared following a format similar to the format presented in the two enclosures. You <br />may also include any standard terms -and conditions of your proposals, rates for <br />supplementary services, and any clarifications or qualifications to the requested proposal, <br />which you deem appropriate. It is the intent of the City to advertise for construction no <br />later than May 1, 2001. Therefore, the proposal must include a tentative schedule of the <br />consultant's activities to complete the professional services. <br />Plans showing existing utilities in the area are available for your review. <br />' Please submit two (2) copies of the proposal no later than August l, 2000 and direct your <br />proposal to the attention of City Engineer Paul W. Deichmann, P.E. for acceptance by the <br />Mayor.
