Vargas has contributed to a variety of civil engineering projects, with emphasis on highway <br />design, site development, pavement design, right-of-way, utilities, drainage and hydraulic calculations. <br />Her responsibilities have included the preparation of contract drawings and specification, quantity <br />calculations and cost estimates and coordination of work with public agencies, private utilities and <br />subconsultants. <br />As Project Manager her functions include contract negotiations, monitoring the quality and efficiency <br />of Polytech's service to the client through the contract duration to provide personal, responsible <br />setvices on-time and within project budget, scheduling various tasks, establishing man-hours and <br />preparing progress reports. <br />Her project experience includes: <br />• Project Manager: Rehabilitation of Mill Road, Porter Road and construction of sewer <br />along North Park Drive in the City of North Olmsted. The work consisted in <br />replacing the existing 2-lane road on Mill Road with a new 3-lane concrete pavement <br />with curbing, sidewalks, a new storm sewer and a relocated water line. A tuming lane <br />was added on Porter Road, and new traffic signals were provided at the Mill <br />RoadlPorter Road and Mill Road/Dover Center Road intersections. A new storm <br />? sewer was constntcted along North Park Drive. <br />• Project Manager: Reconstruction of Virginia Avenue and Summerland Avenue in the <br />? City of North Olmsted. The work consisted in replacing the existing asphalt <br />pavement and open drainage with concrete curbed pavement, curb inlets, underdrains <br />and a storm sewer. <br />• Project Manager: Rehabilitation of Brookpark Road in the City of North Olmsted. <br />The work included in base repairs, resurfacing, the addition of turning lanes and traffic <br />signal modifications. <br />• Project Manager: Rehabilitation of West 150' Street from Puritas Avenue to Lorain <br />Avenue in the City of Cleveland; Rehabilitation of Warner Road from Granger Road <br />to Cana1 Road in the Village of Va11ey View; Rehabilitation of Smith Road from Snow <br />Road to Brookpark Road in the City of Brook Park; Rehabilitation of Noble Road <br />from Mayfield Road to Euclid Avenue in the Cities of Cleveland Heights and East <br />Cleveland; Rehabilitation of Green Road from Chagrin Boulevard to Fairmount <br />Boulevard in the Cities ofBea.chwood and Shaker Heights. Client: Cuyahoga County <br />Engineer. The work generally consists in preparing plans for resurfacing, pavement <br />replacement, maintenance of traffic, traffc control, and traffic signal replacement. <br />? <br />
