Civil Engineering, 1995 <br />ENGINEERS B.E., Civil Engineering, 1992 <br />Bridge Inspection Certificate (ODOT) <br />EXPERIENCE: <br />Mr. Sivakumar contributes to the design of highway and roadway improvements related to <br />maintenance of traffic, traffic control and traffic signal design. He is responsible for taking traffic <br />counts and preparing the data for project use, for the preparation of traffic signal wazrants, and the <br />preparation of traffic signal plans and details. He performs calculations for capacity analysis, traffic <br />signal timings, and time-space diagrams for interconnected signat systems. Mr. Sivakumar has <br />attended training courses for the use of traffic signal design software such as TEAPAC, PASSER, <br />TRANSYT and NETSIM/CORSIM. He has also been trained for Traffic Signal Maintenance. <br />Tra.ffic Signal Design is performed following the H'ighway Capacity Manual, and using the following <br />software: HIGHWAY CAPACITY SOFTWARE (HCS), TRANSYT-7F, N4STOP, SIGNAL97. <br />Traffic counts have been taken using laptop computers and/or manual charts. <br />He prepares construction drawings meeting the format and requirements of the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation. Design criteria is in conformance with the American Association of State Highway <br />and Transportation officials (AASHTO) Specifications for Highway Bridges, AASHTO's Policy for <br />the Geometric Design of Streets and Highways and the Manua1 of Uniform Traffic Control Devices <br />(MUTCD). <br />His project experience includes: <br />• Improvements of Mill Road, Porter Road, Dover Center Road and Lorain Road in the <br />City of North Olmsted, Ohio: Designed two new signalized intersections and <br />modified an existing signalized in?terseetion to provide new left turn and right turn <br />lanes. Design was performed using Highway Capacity Software (HSC). Plans were <br />prepared to show a11 required traffic control items including traffic signal details, new <br />signs and new pavement markings. <br />• Rehabilitation of West 150* Street from Puritas Avenue to Lorain Avenue in the City <br />of Ctevelancl; Rehabilitation of Warner Road from Granger Road to Cana1 Road in the <br />Village af Valley View; Rehabilitation of Smith Road from Snow Road to Brookpark <br />Road in the City of Brook Park; Rehabilitation of Noble Road from Mayfield Road <br />to Euclid Avenue in tne Cities of Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland; <br />Rehabilitation of Green Road from Chagrin Boulevazd to Fairmount Boulevard in the <br />cities of Beachwood and Shaker Heights. Client: Cuyahoga County Engineer. <br />Designed new traffic signals and signs; prepared 3R Safety Studies; prepared signal <br />warrants, tra.ffic control plans and maintenance of traffic plans.
