? <br />? . <br />Description: <br /> <br />IMPROVEMENTS OF MILL ROAD, PORTER ROAD, DOVER <br />CENTER ROAD AND LORAIN AVENUE <br />North Olmsted, Ohio <br />Owner: City of North Olmsted, Ohio <br />Project Cost: $1.5 Million <br />Completion Date: 1996 <br />As part of the on-going development <br />for its commercial sector, the City of <br />North Olmsted undertook <br />improvements of the perimeter roads <br />around the new Water Tower Square <br />Shopping Center. Polytech provided <br />design services for this work as <br />follows: <br />I <br />? Dover Center Road was improved at the intersection with Mill Road and Lorain <br />Avenue by widening to add new left and right turn lanes. Traffic signals and <br />pedestrian signals were replaced and upgraded. <br />? <br />I <br />1, <br />? A study was performed for Lorain Avenue at the nrtersection with Dover Center Road <br />to study the impact of widening by providing an additional right turn lane at each side. <br />Traffic signals and pedestrian signals were to be replaced and upgraded. <br />? Porter Road was improved at the intersection with Mill Road by providing new left <br />turn lanes at both sides of the intersection. The pavement was widened and curbing <br />was added. New catch basins and sewers were provided, and new traffic signals were <br />installed. <br />The construction documents presented all detailed information for the required work, including <br />roadway typical sections; pla.n and profile; intersection details and pavement joint plans; cross <br />sections; water work plans; storm sewer profiles and details; traffic signal details; traffic contral plans <br />showing signs and pavement markings; right-of-way plans and parcel descriptions. Construction cost <br />estimates and a Project Manual were also prepared. <br />
