<br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF BONDS
<br />IN THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $3,230,000 FOR
<br />THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS IN THE
<br />CITY, IN COOPERATION WITH CUYAHOGA COUNTY, THE CITY OF
<br />WESTLAKE AND THE DIItECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION OF THE STATE
<br />OF OHIO AND OTHERWISE, BY GRADING, DRAINING, WIDENING,
<br />RECONSTRUCTING THE PAVEMENT BASE, REPLACING CULVERTS,
<br />PREPARING THE SURFACE, SURFACING AND RESURFACING,
<br />CONSTRUCTING AND RECONSTRUCTING CURBS, GUTTERS, CATCH
<br />BASINS, STORM SEWERS, SIDEWALKS AND DRIVEWAY APPROACHES
<br />AND INSTALLING TRAFFIC SIGNS AND SIGNALIZATION, STREET
<br />LIGHTING AND RELATED UNDERGROUND WIItING, WHERE
<br />NECESSARY, IN EACH CASE TOGETHER WITH THE NECESSARY
<br />APPURTENANCES AND WORK INCIDENTAL THERETO, AND DECLARING
<br />AN EMERGENCY.
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 98-45 passed on May 19, 1998, as amended by
<br />Ordinance No. 98-79 passed July 4, 1998, notes in anticipation of bonds in the amount of $843,000
<br />were issued for the purpose of improving Brookpark Road from Lorain Road to Great Northern
<br />Boulevard by grading, draining, widening, constructing and reconstructing curbs and surfacing and
<br />resurfacing; improving North Barton Road from Lorain Road to the northerly corporate limits, in
<br />cooperation with Cuyahoga County, by resurfacing and replacing culverts, where necessary;
<br />improving Cedar Point Road from Columbia Road to the easterly corporate limits, in cooperation
<br />with Cuyahoga County and the Director of Transportation of the State of Ohio, by grading, draining,
<br />curbing, reconstructing the pavement base, surfacing and installing traffic signalization; improving
<br />Westminster Drive, Wellington Drive, Warrington Drive, Huntington Drive, Mitchell Drive,
<br />Brookpark Road Extension, Tudor Drive, Devon Drive, Blossom Boulevard, Edgepark Boulevard,
<br />Woodpath Drive, Sanders Lane, Marquette Boulevard, Pine Circle, Laurel Lane, Lisa Lane, Lusandra
<br />Circle, Mary Kay Circle, Marcie Lane and Brendan Lane by reconstructing sections of the pavement
<br />base, where necessary; improving Wellesley Avenue, Brookpark Road, Broxbourne Road,
<br />Whitehaven Avenue and North Barton Road between certain termini by preparing the surface and
<br />resurfacing; unproving Vincent Drive, Magnolia Drive, Spruce Drive, Byron Drive, Tennyson Drive,
<br />Fielding Drive, Keats Drive, Shelley Drive, Dryden Drive, Lydgate Drive and Defoe Drive by
<br />installing street lighting and underground wiring; and improving Great Northern Boulevard by
<br />constructing sidewalks from Country Club Boulevard to the I-480 East exit; in each case together
<br />with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto, as part of a consolidated issue of
<br />$2,675,000 Various Purpose Improvement Notes, Series 1998-2, dated September 24, 1998, which
<br />notes were retired at maturity with funds available to the City and the proceeds of $809,000 notes (the
<br />Outstanding Series A Notes) issued pursuant to Ordinance No. 99-94 passed on September 7, 1999,
<br />as part of a consolidated issue of $4,915,000 Various Purpose Improvement Notes, Series 1999-2,
<br />dated September 23, 1999, which Outstanding Series A Notes are to mature on September 21, 2000;
<br />and
