City Engineer City of North Olmsted April 28, 2000 Re: Proposal for Mechanical Engineering Services for Portions of the Recreation Center 4. After the approval of your staff, we shall prepare the final working drawing, including demolition plan and specifications for bidding and construction purposes, all in compliance with the latest mechanical codes of the Ohio Basic Building Code. 5. We shall verify electrical power requirements and structural weight of new H.V.A.C. units and compare with the existing units. 6. Prepare a final construction cost estimate for the final documents, prior to bidding. 7. All design drawings will be prepared on Autocad using Release 14 software. At the completion of the project, we will correct the CAD disk, per as-built marked-up drawings from the Contractor and the disk will be provided to the City. Final plans and specifications document originals (mylar reproducibles) as applicable will be delivered to the City. Plans and detail sheets can be hand drafted if so desired by the City. 8. We shall answer all questions relating to the drawings and technical specification, during bidding. 9. We shall attend one job meeting during design phase and two jobsite visits during construction phase. 10. We shall review shop drawings submitted by the Contractor for compliance with plans and specifications. 11. After the project is substantially complete, we shall prepare a"punchlist" for the contractor for completion of the project. C. INFORMATION REQUIRED: It is our understanding that the existing drawings for these buildings are available and will be provided for our use.
