Ordinance No. 2000-22 <br />SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized, in the name of the City <br />of North Olmsted, to directly pay to any vendor under each such contract of the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation in which the City of North Olmsted participates for items it receives pursuant to <br />said contract. <br />SECTION 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary for the Ciry to avail itself of cost saving methods <br />regarding the purchase of machinery, materials and supplies, etc., and further provided that it <br />receives the aff'?rmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. " <br />Be amended and, as amended, sha11 read as follows: <br />"SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to participate in the Ohio <br />Department of Transportation's contracts for the purchase of machinery, materials, supplies or <br />other articles which the Department has entered into pursuant to Revised Code Section <br />5513.01(B). <br />SECTION 2. That the City of North Olmsted, through the Mayor, is authorized to enter <br />into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the purposes of being bound by <br />the terms and conditions of the purchasing process as is prescribed by the Director of the <br />Department of Transportation. <br />SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized, in the name of the City <br />of North Olmsted, to directly pay to any vendor under each such contract of the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation in which the City of North Olmsted participates for items it receives pursuant to <br />said contract. <br />SECTION 4. That the City of North Olmsted agrees to hold the Director of <br />Transportation and the Ohio Department harmless for any claim or dispute arising out of <br />participation in a contract pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 5513.01(B). <br />SECTION 5. That this Ordinance is hereby declazed to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary for the City to avail itself of cost saving methods <br />regarding the purchase of machinery, materials and supplies, etc., and further provided that it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of a11 members of Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor." <br />2 <br />
