permitted for any building unit shall be 1.00 square feet per foot of building unit <br />frontage. <br />1163.25 T'YPES OF SIGNS PERMITTED. <br />No signs, other than the following types, are permitted on private property within <br />the City. The following types of signs are permitted only in accordance with <br />regulations of this Chapter: <br />(a) Ground Signs; <br />(b) W all Signs; <br />(c) Canopy Signs; <br />(d) Window Signs; <br />(e) Flags; <br />( fl Temporary Signs; <br />(g) Signs expressly exempted by Section 1163.04 of this Chapter. <br />1163.26 GROUND SIGNS. <br />(a) Ground signs shall not be permitted in One or Two Family Residence Districts, <br />except that as accessory to a conditional or overlay use one ground sign shall be <br />permitted per lot. In all other Districts, one ground sign shall be permitted per lot, <br />except that for lots having either a total area in excess of ten (10) acres or a total frontage <br />on any one street in excess of six hundred (600) feet, two ground signs at least two <br />hundred (200) feet apart shall be permitted <br />(b) Ground signs shall be set back at least five (5) feet from every right-of-way <br />line, at least twenty (20) feet from any side or rear lot line, and at least seventy-five (75) <br />feet from any property line abuiting residentially-zoned property, and shall be located <br />so as to conform to 1163.17. <br />(c) No ground sign shall exceed fifty (50) square feet in total sign face area, nor <br />twelve (12) feet in height as measured from either (1) the ground level at the property <br />line nearest the sign, or (2) the ground level at the sign, whichever is higher, except that <br />ground signs no more than eight (8) feet in height shall not exceed sixty-five (65) square <br />feet in total sign face area. <br />1163.27 WALL SIGNS. <br />(a) W all signs shall not be permitted in One or Two Family Residence Districts, <br />Single Family Cluster Districts, Multiple Residence Districts, or Senior Residence <br />Districts, except that as accessory to a conditional or overlay use one wall sign shall be <br />permitted per lot. In all other Districts, one wall sign shall be permitted per building, <br />plus, if the building is subdivided, one wall sign shall be permitted per building unit, <br />and for buildings having frontage on two or more streets, one additional wall sign shall <br />be permitted on any secondary frontage street. <br />(b) No wall sign shall project more than fourteen (14) inches from the surface or <br />wall to which it is attached.
