1( • <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-135 <br />By: Councilman Duane Limpert <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING DON <br />COPELAND, DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN <br />RESOURCES, TO MAKE APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR 2000 FOR MULTIPLE PROJECTS TITLED <br />ACQUISITION AND DEMOLITION OF COMMERCIAL RETAIL <br />PROPERTY AND SIDEWALK CURBCUTS FOR DISABLED <br />PERSONS AND OLDER PERSONS, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council, after a public hearing conducted on September 09, 1999, has <br />deternuned that the City of North Olmsted qualifies for Community Development Block <br />Grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council created a Citizens Advisory Committee for C.D.B.G. through <br />Resolution No. 99-69; and <br />WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee submitted a report to this Council on <br />October Ol, 1999 recommending multiple project applications; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has designated the Acquisition And Demolition Of Commercial <br />Retail Property and Sidewalk Curbcuts For Disabled Persons And Older Persons as being <br />eligible for funding through the Community Development Block Grant program funded by <br />the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and administered for <br />the City of North Olmsted by the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, said projects consist of applying for up to the maximum award of $150,000 <br />with the following allocations: <br />Project Priority 1- Acquisition And Demolition Of Commercial Retail Property <br />for $150,000 <br />Project Priority 2- Sidewalk Curbcuts For Disabled Persons And Older Persons <br />for $150, 000; and
