Ordinance No. 99-135 page 2 WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted will select the projects which are declared eligible based upon their score on the Cuyahoga County C.D.B.G. Competitive Grant Scoring Sheet criteria; and WHEREAS, if multiple projects are declared eligible the City will select the project which are jointly agreed upon with Cuyahoga County; and WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted will provide all other funding and leverage requirements for the projects which are selected with the following maximum estimates: Funding From Leverage % ciiy Citv C.D.B.G. Acquisition And Demolition Of Commercial / $ 25,000 14.3 85.7 Retail Property Sidewalk Curbcuts For Disabled And Older Persons $ 25,000 14.3 85.7 WHEREAS, the purposes of these projects are to eliminate a condition of slum and blight and to provide Americans With Disabilities Act (A.D.A.) compliance and accessibility; and WHEREAS, these projects will provide a benefit to older persons and persons with disabilities and provide a benefit to low and moderate income persons living in a Low and Moderate Income Area and an Improvement Target Area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize and direct Don Copeland, Director of the Department of Human Resources, to apply for Community Development Block Grant funds for Fiscal Year 2000, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. Included in the application shall be the aforesaid projects.
