7 <br />? <br />EXPERIENCE: <br />Mrs. Vargas has contributed to a variety of civil engineering projects, with emphasis on highway <br />design, site development, pavement design, right-of-way, utilities, drainage, and hydraulic <br />calculations. Her responsibilities have included the preparation of contract drawings and <br />specifica.tion, quantity calculations and cost estimates, and coordination ofwork with public agencies, <br />private utilities and subconsultants. <br />Her project experience includes design work on the following projeets: <br />Project Manager: Rehabilita.tion of West 150' Street from Puritas Avenue to Lorain <br />Avenue in the City of Cleveland; Rehabilitation of Warner Road from Granger Road <br />to Cana1 Road in the Village of Valley View; Rehabilitation of Smith Road fram Snow <br />Road to Brookpark Road in the City of Brook Park; Rehabilitation of Noble Road <br />from Mayfield Road to Euclid Avenue in the Cities of Cleveland Heights and East <br />Cleveland; Rehabilitation of Green Road from Chagrin Boulevard to Fairmount <br />Boulevard in the Cities of Beachwood and Shaker Heights. The work generally consists in preparing plans for resurfacing, pavement <br />replacement, maintenance of tra.ffic, traffic control, and traffic signal replacement. <br />Project Manager: Various bridge replacement projects for the Ohio Department of <br />Transporta.tion in Districts One, Two, Three, Four, Seven, Nine, Ten and Twelve. <br />Work has included a variety of bridge types, with different needs regarding roadway <br />design for establishment of horizontal and vertical clearances. Dra.inage designs ha.ve <br />included open and clased systems, and several have required special designs for <br />pavement, maintenance af traffic, and sugerelevation. Bridges have been located in <br />urban and rural settings, requiring coordination with railroad companies, utility <br />owners, and public and private agencies. <br />Project Manager: Widening and reconstruction of Richmond Road in Warrensville <br />Heights and Highland Hills, for the Olua Department of Transportation I3istrict <br />Twelve. The work for this 0.6 mile section included complete removal of the 2-lane <br />road, replacement with a 4lane reinforced concrete pavement with left turning lanes <br />and a 30-foot median, construction of new storm sewers, sanitary sewer, waterline <br />relocation, pavement marking, signing, right-of-way and maintenance of traffic. <br />Extensive coordination was perFormed to match work on adjoining projects and with <br />private utility owners. <br />rt_
