<br />EVA D. VARGAS, P.E. <br />Pro'ect Mana er P..,age.2 <br />Project Manager: Replacement af Harvard Avenue Bridge over Wheeling and Lake <br />Erie Railroad Tracks in the City of Cleveland. Client: City of Cleveland. The work <br />consist in performing preliminaay studies to select the best replacement structure over <br />the railroad tracks. Based on the structure type and the structure depth of ea.ch <br />alternative selected £or the study, various road profiles were developed to maintain <br />the required clearance over the railroad tracks. An alterna.tive was selected to <br />minimize impact on adjoining properties. <br />Design Engineer: Interstate Route 295 and the Anacostia Freeway on the east side <br />of Washington, D. C.,1 ?/z mile section. Responsibilities included prepazation of plans <br />and profiles, geometric layout plans, safety improvement details, traffic marking and <br />traffic control, maintenance of traffc and sequence of construction plans, signing, <br />impact attenuators, concrete barriers, e3dsting drainage and utilities, special provisions <br />and pay items. <br />Project Manager: Interstate Route 480, Landsca.pe and Slope Erosion Control. The <br />17 mile section included design for slope restoration, slope stabilizaxion, landscaping <br />and screening along the highway, interchanges, ramps and intersections. <br />Responsibilities included project management, coordination with various sub- <br />consultants and technical assistance to project assigned staff. <br />Project Manager: STA-687-3.45, Widening and Reconstruction of 1.4 mile seetion <br />of Fulton Road (SR687) in Stark County from two and three lanes to five lanes, for <br />the Ohio Department of Transportation District Four. Work included the preparation <br />of an environmental document covering cultural resources, hazardous materials, noise, <br />air quality, social and economic factors, and land use. The roadway scope included <br />alignment studies, profiles, drainage, utilities, right-of-way needs and cost estimates. <br />Projeet Ma,nager: GEA 322/306-0.59/11.89, lEghway Improvements to U. S. Raute <br />322, Geauga County. The work includes the improvement of a 2.5 mile section of <br />U. S. Route 322 from 2 lanes to 4 lanes and 5 lanes, and 0.52 mile of Staxe Route 306 <br />to 5 lanes. The preliminary phase consisted of environmental studies (cultural <br />resources, wetlands and ecological surveys, inventory of hazardous materials, noise <br />analysis) and engineering design for the establishment of horizontal and vertical <br />alignment, reloca.tion of Caves Road, pavement design and typical sections. The Line, <br />Grade and Typical Section Submission and the Preliminary Right-of-Way Plans were <br />submitted and approved. <br />PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION: <br />1987, Civil Engineering <br />
